As part of the VetRec template system, we support the ability to include Dental Charts for both canine and feline patients.
Overview
The dental charts support the ability to detect 5 different states for a tooth: Not Evaluated, Evaluated, Missing, Extracted and Treatment.
Not Evaluated: Tooth was not evaluated during the exam. No information for the tooth was provided.
Evaluated: Tooth was evaluated and documented, but it was not selected for extraction or further treatment.
Missing: Tooth was not present during the test.
Extracted: Tooth was evaluated and documented. Tooth was selected for extraction.
Treatment: Tooth was evaluated and documented. Tooth was not selected for extraction, but a treatment like Root Canal is needed.
Dental Charts are meant to be used in conjunction to Dental Exam notes where additional details are captured.
Using Dental Charts
To use Dental Charts, you can leverage one of the pre-built dental templates provided as part of the VetRec template library.
This templates provide a full dental exam template in conjunction to the dental chart.
If you prefer to add the dental chart to a different template, simply look for the Charts tab within the pre-built section inside the VetRec Template Builder.
Drag and drop the desired chart into the template. (*Note: only one chart is supported at a time)
Once added, the chart will automatically be shown when the notes are generated.
