VetRec Records Recap will save your valuable time! Upload a patient's prior records or referral records, and Records Recap will quickly and accurately summarize them for your review prior to an appointment. If you are not familiar with Records Recap, we highly recommend reading this introduction on Records Recap first.

This article will go through all the actions you can take once your recap has been generated, including downloading as PDF, adding new files to summarize and regenerating the recap!

Add files and regenerate the recap

If you created a recap with some files and then realized you forgot to include some other files, you can use the "Add files" button to add new files and regenerate the recap with the existing files and your newly added files. Click Add files to open below pop-up which will allow you to add files and regenerate the recap.

Click on the add document area or drag and drop files. In addition, you may also select a different Template and add one-time Additional Instructions for regeneration. When ready, click the Regenerate recap button and it will regenerate the recap with the new files in addition to the already uploaded files.

Regenerate the recap with already uploaded files

If you simply want to regenerate the recap or regenerate it with a new template, you can just use Regenerate Recap under the Actions menu. This will result in a pop-up like below:

Here, you may select a different Template and add one-time Additional Instructions for regeneration. If you decide you want to upload new files, you can click the Upload new files button to do so here as well.

Delete the recap

If you uploaded the wrong files or simply want to get rid of the generated recap, you may do so by using the Delete Recap button under Actions.

Download the recap as a PDF

Once your recap is generated, you have the option to download the recap as a PDF. A common flow is for customers to start a visit by summarizing prior records using Records Recap, downloading the summary and attaching it to the appointment in their PIMS.

Copy and paste the recap

In case you want to copy the recap into your PIMS (or elsewhere), you can use the copy buttons to either copy the full recap or specific sections and paste it into your PIMs. To paste the notes simply do ctrl + v or right-click -> paste in the text box of your choice

Record a visit with the scribe

If you want to directly continue the visit from the recap, you can click Add Recording under Actions to use VetRec's AI scribe to record and add notes to the same visit.

Give us Feedback

If you would like to provide any feedback to VetRec on the generated recap, please use the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to do so!
