With VetRec, visits can be appended using the Add to Visit capability. This means that even after notes have already been generated for a visit, doctors or techs can come back to that same visit to add diagnostic results, additional information provided by the owner or private notes. This capability can be particularly powerful for techs and doctors to work together in capturing and sharing information about a patient.

Example Workflow

Dr. Whiskerson and their technician Bee are working together on the case for Fluffy. To start, Bee goes into the room with Fluffy and Fluffy's owner to take history and vitals. Bee starts the recording with VetRec using their phone.

Once the history and vitals are taken, Bee stops the recording and send it to process right away.

In the other room, Dr. W is on their tablet and can see the notes for Fluffy's history and vitals that Bee just captured. Dr. W can review them right away.

Once reviewed, Dr. W walks into the room with Fluffy and their owner. Dr. W presses the Add to Visit button on Fluffy's visit and start recording again.

Dr. W goes through the consult and once they are done, presses the stop recording button.

Dr. W then presses on start processing to generate notes for Fluffy. The notes combine the history and vitals information taken by Bee with the rest of the consult take by Dr. W.

A couple hours later, Bee sees that the blood test results are back for Fluffy. Bee can again Add to Visit and speak the results into VetRec. The results are added to the existing set of notes that were already captured.
