Record as (for notes) and Summarize as (for records recap) in VetRec enable users to record visits and summarize records on behalf of another team member. This is particularly useful in multi-room clinics or hospitals where multiple doctors use the same computers and accounts, or when different people take care of different parts of the visit. With this feature, you can easily track who owns each visit without requiring individual logins for every computer.

This feature is designed to simplify your clinic's operations while maintaining transparency and accountability.

  • Streamlined Workflow: Avoid logging in and out repeatedly on shared computers.

  • Accurate Tracking: Attribute actions to the correct team member even when using shared accounts.

How to use Record as and Summarize as

In the Scribe, you will see a dropdown labeled "Record as", right after the Patient's Name field. Choose the team member you want to record as from the list of users in your team and start the recording.

After recording, click Process. The system will attribute the recording and any generated notes to the selected team member.

In Records Recap, you will see a dropdown labeled "Summarize as", which works the same way.

Who can use Record As and Summarize As?

By default, any team member can record/summarize as any other member of that team. This behavior can be changed by an Admin in team controls, so only admins can use this capability.
