VetRec provides built in controls to limit what different members of a team can do with VetRec.
Roles
By default, VetRec provides two built-in roles for each organization: Admin and Member.
Admin: This role has access to the full set of capabilities VetRec provides as well as the the full set of settings and controls. Admins can create teams, can invite members and can limit the features that members have access to.
Member: This role has access to all main capabilities on VetRec like scribing, record recap and discharges. This role's features like template building, defaults and workflows can be limited by admins.
Team Controls
VetRec provides a growing set of controls that be turned on and off to allow admins to control what features members have access to. To change controls, simply navigate to Settings on the left navigation pane and go to the Team tab. There under Controls you will find all the controls.
Controls available:
Allow members to record as other members: This control allows admins to change whether members can impersonate other members when creating visits and recordings on VetRec. This setting will disable the Record As dropdown in the Scribe page and the Summarizing As dropdown on the Records Recap page:
โCopy Behavior: This controls allows admins to change copy behavior on VetRec between Plain text and **Markdown** text. Depending on the PiMS being used, this behavior can ensure styling is properly moved between VetRec and the PiMS.
Pre-built Templates: This controls allows admins to remove pre-built templates provided by VetRec. This ensure that only the templates created by users and admins are enabled for the organization.
Create and Edit Templates: This controls allows admins to disable template creation and editing for members. This ensures that only admins can create and edit templates to maintain template quality and structure.
Default Template: This control allows admins to enable a default template across their team. When users come to VetRec, they will see the default template instead of the VetRec default. (Note: this setting is ignored if the user sets their own default templates)
