VetRec provides support for notes export into ezyVet. With a few quick clicks, you can have your notes flowing from VetRec into ezyVet in one-click after your notes are complete!

Before we get started, install the VetRec Chrome Extension which we will use to export the notes. Install extension.

You can configure the export from the web or from the Google Chrome extension directly. Click on which you prefer and follow along.

Once done, you can continue to export notes to ezyVet

Configure your template from the extension

To follow along with this section, make sure you have ezyVet opened up side-by-side with the VetRec extension. The ezyVet configuration options will only appear if ezyVet is side-by-side.

When you open a note on the VetRec Google Chrome extension side-by-side with ezyVet, if your template is not already configured for ezyVet, VetRec will show you a yellow banner that indicates that the template is not configured yet.

Click Configure and it should pop-up a configuration screen that allows you to map your VetRec template sections to your ezyVet sections. VetRec will automatically start you off with which ezyVet section it thinks each section maps to, but it is best to double check before saving the configuration.

Once the mapping is complete, click Save. The configuration pop-up and the warning should disappear. If you ever want to configure this again from the extension, you can access this configuration pop-up by going to Actions and then Configure ezyVet integration

Configure your template from the web

We start by going to VetRec on the web and navigating to the templates page:

Select the template you want to configure for ezyVet export or create a new template:

Open Integrations under Settings:

Next, pick ezyVet from the PiMS selection:

This will provide you an interface to map your VetRec sections to ezyVet sections. VetRec will automatically start you off with which ezyVet section it thinks each section maps to, but it is best to double check before saving the configuration.

If you are mapping to the vitals section in ezyVet, you also need to map each vital appropriately for it to transfer correctly.

Once you are ready, hit save configuration. If you plan to use this template most frequently, we highly recommend setting it as your default and then clicking "Save"

Now that the template is configured you can use it to create notes that are compatible with ezyVet!

Need help finding which ezyVet section to use?

The ezyVet section is the original name that ezyVet refers the field as. If you or your clinic renamed any fields in ezyVet, then it might be slightly different. An ezyVet admin can confirm what the original category is on ezyVet by following the steps shown below (Admin > Settings > Clinical > Scroll down to "Clinical Record")
