Creating a template

VetRec provides different starting points for you to create your templates. All three starting points provide similar amounts of customization to take advantage of. Lets start by heading to the templates section of VetRec.

There you can pick between using one of our existing templates as a starting point using the Template Library or going directly into a blank template using the Create Template button.

Blank Template

If you want to start from scratch, click on the Create Template option. You will be presented with a blank template that has been pre-populated with a simple S-O-A-P.

You can modify this pre-populated template. Alternatively, if you have an existing template that you want to use as the basis of your VetRec template.

Select the type of template you want to create. VetRec supports templates for medical notes and communications documents.

AI Imported Template

To import an existing template, click on the Import Template with AI button.

Copy and paste your existing template directly into the box provided and click Generate Template.

VetRec will generate a template based on the provided information and display it inside the Template Builder:

Once generated, the imported template will appear on the Template Builder.

Template Library

If you wanted to use one of our pre-built template found as part of the Template Library, you can simply add them to your account. All the pre-built templates are fully customizable as well!

To add a template to your account, simply press the three dots next to the template you want and select Add to account.

The template will open inside the Builder where you can modify it or simple save it as is. Remember to change the template name if you want. Click Save to add it to your account.
